Licence System

Licence System

Step-by-step Permit to Licence system in South Australia is the regulated means of attaining the full driver licence. The procedure includes the following. After passing the Theory Test, then a minimum of 75 hours driving experience with a qualified supervising driver while in the Learner Permit stage. Drivers will also need to satisfy the compulsory Hazard Perception Test to move from a Learners Permit also to P1. Once passing Driving Assessment you step up to the next phase of a two-stage Provisional Licence with P1 and P2 Licencing. This becomes an incentive for drivers whom are adhering to the Road rules, and penalizes those which do not.
